WES is hosting International Night on April 16, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the cafeteria! Please consider hosting a table dedicated to a country of your choice. It can be one you share ancestral ties to or that you simply enjoy and appreciate and you can team up with another family if you like! Sign up here.

Ordering is now open for the WES Yearbook! The DEADLINE to order is MARCH 27, 2026. Please be sure to order by the deadline as there will only be a very limited number of extras available. Paper order forms were sent home with students, or you can order online and use Access Code 19399YB.

New York Times-bestselling author Kate Messner will visit WES on April 21st to share her newest picture book The Whale's Tale and the Otter's Side of the Story with PM K-2nd grade students. Signed copies are available to order from Children's Book World here. Please order by April 7th for guaranteed personalization. Kate Messner is passionately curious and has written over seventy books for kids who wonder, too. Her titles include award-winning picture books like Over and Under the Snow and novels for older readers like The Trouble with Heroes. Kate also writes the popular History Smashers graphic nonfiction series and the Ranger in Time historical adventures, and she leads the multi-author team behind The Kids in Mrs. Z’s Class chapter books.
